Overview
VinAudit was created to modernise and streamline the QA process at Santo Tomás Winery by enhancing its existing audit system with a platform that fosters collaboration and transparency. The application enables multiple departments to conduct internal audits, implement improvements, and track compliance with the 5S methodology. By ensuring seamless teamwork, accountability, and adaptability, VinAudit supports the evolving needs of the growing wine industry.
Feature Scope & Prioritisation: The extensive feature set required for a 5S auditing app, combined with stakeholder needs, made prioritisation crucial. To streamline development, we utilised the MoSCoW framework and continuously aligned our understanding with the client.
Web App vs. Mobile App: Initially, we proposed a web app for its broader accessibility and ease of use on larger screens. However, the client required a mobile application to accommodate employees working on-site and to facilitate photo documentation of improvement areas.
The close-collaboration with the client helped us propose and develop a product worthy for their needs.

On-Site Research: Observing day-to-day winery operations allowed the team to understand workflow pain points first-hand, guaranteeing that the app’s design supported real-world use cases.
Third-Party App Research: Benchmarking existing auditing tools helped identify best practices and common pitfalls, helping deliver an intuitive experience while catering to the specific needs of the 5S methodology.
